PANHELLENIC COUNCIL

The Panhellenic Association (PHA) is the largest women’s organization on campus! It is the governing body of the 8 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities at COFC. The bond of sisterhood is a special relationship that all sorority women share in their individual sororities and together within the Panhellenic community

A Letter From Our President,

Welcome to the official website of the College of Charleston Panhellenic Council! My name is Vasileah Tsantes, and I have the honor of serving as Panhellenic President. We are ecstatic that you are interested in learning more about our community, and the chapters that comprise what it means to be a Panhellenic woman.

Our Panhellenic community is made up of over 1,600 women, all dedicated to serving their community, striving for academic excellence, and being leaders on our beautiful campus. Our campus is home to 8 individual chapters; Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, Sigma Kappa, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Each chapter helps create a welcoming, inspiring community that makes us proud to be Panhellenic women on CofC’s campus.

Each chapter, diverse in their own way, strives towards a shared goal as part of a larger organization. Our chapters' foundations lie in encouraging the highest academic achievement, community service, campus involvement, sisterhood, and social engagement. Each chapter provides opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and involvement on our campus and in the greater Charleston area.

I went through recruitment in the Fall of 2022, feeling much like how you are now. Nervous, excited for what is to come, but also overwhelmed at the idea of finding a new home. There were a million questions running through my head, but the minute I stepped on campus and entered the recruitment process I felt nothing but support, love, and belonging. I knew I would find a place that accepted me for my true self and help me grow into a better friend and sister. Having the opportunity to find your home away from home, your support system, and friends that will last a lifetime is something that cannot be put into words. I can confidently say that I would not be the person I am today without this community. The connections I have found with Panhellenic women who are unique, driven and strive to be their best selves every day.

Having the opportunity to lead this community has proven everything I know about the Panhellenic community to be true. I cannot put into enough words how thankful I am for the opportunities I have been given and how excited I am to bring a new class into this community. Each and every member is passionate, dedicated, and has been influential to our campus community. We could not be more excited for you all to begin your unique experience within the Panhellenic community, and find the organization that will become your second home.

With love,

Vasileah Tsantes
